Forgotten Hollywood discusses the sound of Disney with Stan Freese!

Stan Freese is, of all things, a tuba soloist, and the recent Talent Casting and Booking Director with Disney Entertainment. Stan served in many roles throughout his Disney career, including the Director of Bands at both Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort. He has performed at the White House, the Kremlin, and along the Great Wall of China. He has appeared on the Lawrence Welk Show and Hee Haw. Recently retired from Disney, Stan Freese also overcame personal inner demons for a life well lived.

For 45 years, Stan has been a principal advisor and mentor for hundreds of Disney Entertainment Division staff members who are responsible for the music and show development for Disney theme parks around the world. Stan most recent assignment was to find talent, develop musical ensembles, and oversee the multitude of live musical performances at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney.
